HKSLEATHERS isn’t a shop. it’s a dream the foundation of which was laid in 1970’s. It is a collaboration of creative minds. We are still on a journey of discovery fuelled by love of leather,travel and nature passed to 2nd generation.

History

Leather industry in Kanpur dates back to 1778 when the East India Company made its foray in the region.Earlier they were stationed at a nearby Mofussil town Bilgram but by the permission of Nawab of Awadh they were allowed to set up their cantonment in Kanpur,once called Manchester of the East.

Our business started in the year 1970 when Mr.Badre Alam Lari migrated from a small town Lar,UP to Kanpur,UP and had a keen interest in doing something in Leather industry,initially he manufactured ‘Leather Washers’ used in agricultural fields and then established a leather finishing factory in 1972 based in Unnao while products manufacturing unit in Kanpur,India.

Meet The Team

The Journey began when Mr. Badre Alam Lari migrated from his home town to the Manchester of the East(Kanpur) and developed a keen interest for working in the leather industry, now the second generation by supplying high quality leather products to the consumers on wholesale and retail basis.
